Changes
It has been a while since I have been able to post something's here on the blog. When something as important and life changing as a mission trip comes up, it was silly of me to think the devil wouldn't try to throw obstacles my way. I won't lie, I became selfish and completely consumed with what I wanted that I almost cancelled the trip all together. But glory to God he always gives me clarity and stern pushes to the right direction no matter how painful it may be. Trust me its very painful,so painful I didn't want to do what God wanted and I didn't want to wait on his timing (in which I feel is working against my happiness in every way).Following Gods plan requires me to go outside my comfort box, it requires me to leave behind someone I absolutely love and that is the hardest part. It requires me to trust in his provision and most of all perform a miracle with the military allowing me to even go (which in my eyes is the biggest obstacle). But then I think what problem is too big for God to solve? If its his will for me to go it will happen.
SO the changes I speak of, I will no longer be going to the Thailand portion of this trip. I will only be going to Cambodia. So from this moment forth I will be working hard to send out emails, letters and get fundraising started. I have absolute clarity that this mission trip is the only thing I want to focus on and make happen this year. All the other things that want to consume my mind and time are only distractions to stop me from experiencing the awesome things God wants to do on this mission trip.I am more focused than ever. I am more determined than ever, and if I am very honest mission work has always been and will always be my passion. I am so excited to see what God has in store. I just want to thank my family and friends that had to talk some sense into me and have been there for me through out this whole process.Until next time, stay blessed and thank you for reading.

Adventures in Mission who?
Ok Jessica so your going with your church on a mission trip right? Actually no, I am going with an organization called Adventure in Mission(AIM). So what is this organization? How did you find it, what's it about? Awesome questions.
In the words of the organization itself " Adventures in mission is an interdenominational missions organization that focuses on discipleship. They emphasize prayer and relationships in their work amongst the poor. Since they were established in 1989, they have taken over 100,000 people into the mission field, some for as short as a week and others for as long as a year or longer(<------Absolute goal for me to go for a year or longer, I'm just saying). In several places around the world they minister year round to "the least of these". They believe that by giving people the opportunity to hold orphans, bring hope to the hopeless, and pray for the sick, lives are transformed. They seek to disciple as Jesus did; their vision is that God would use them to raise up a generation of radically committed disciples of Jesus Christ."
How awesome is that? That is an organization I want to be a part of. Count me in , where do I sign the dotted line(I apparently have a thing for work where you have to sign up for years of service =) lol)?So they do have a page that lists the organizations beliefs and stance on spiritual gifts , etc. Click on the link to read more about it. AIMS beliefs etc.
I found out about this organization when I was in Miami, At my church Metro church some friends knew I was into mission work and had referred me to a young man that had did a mission trip with this group. Except his was super awesome because he participated in the world race which goes to 11 countries in 11 months. Any how that when I first heard about it.Then when I arrived here in San Diego my new life group leader had actually participated with AIM and highly recommended it for my mission heart =).What really draws me to this group is their Ministry Distinctive.
Check out this video of some of the work that has happened in Cambodia.

- They emphasize discipleship over evangelism-They believe Jesus not only called to say prayer but enter into a lifestyle. Not only do they witness but they follow up.
- They emphasize the church without walls-they go to those needing ministry rather than expecting them to come to them. That's awesome and the relationships that transpire because of it is a blessing.
- They emphasize ministry to the poor, the oppressed, and the hopeless-the lost sheep that society shuns, in a given city, they will go to that darkest and most hopeless place first.
- They mobilize and make disciples
- They empower people to go and grow something.

Sharing the big news!
Hi everybody!
I am super excited to be writing this and all the events that are making this blog possible. Even though I don't have a soul reading this because no one knows about this page yet, I wanted to share the moments leading up to everything. In a later post I will explain my whole journey, from who I am to how I got here, to how I was called to missions, the group I am going with, what human trafficking is, the whole nine yards. But for now I am going to focus on this moment.
Crazy Faith Adventures blog is being created because, after 5 years of waiting to return to the mission field, an opportunity has finally come to go minister over seas. This mission is taking me to Thailand and Cambodia with an organization called Adventures in Mission. We will be ministering with women and children that have been forced into human sex trafficking. So to make it very personal and very real, I want to share with the world my journey on my first time back onto the mission field as a baptized( first time I went I wasn't baptized of my own will), know what's going on this time, Christian lol. I want to keep everyone updated on events, fundraising process, training for the field, and any and everything that pertains to my passion of serving Jesus on the mission field.
1.) Let me start with how grateful I am to God for being awesome and making this whole thing happen. For placing crazy faith into my heart, for allowing me to see and experience the mission field even when I had no idea what that was at the time and not a penny to my name.
2.) I wont lie when I signed up for this blog I thought you just picked a cute template had a name and sha bang blog.....nope whole lot more to this lol.
3.) I have been waiting a really long time and I am ssuupppeeerrr excited for this opportunity. It is the reason why it took me so long to announce the trip even though I have known for a while. This time I wanted to be responsible, and prepared. So I have assembled together a prayer team by the guidance of God on my heart to be my support and drive this mission forward. I wanted to have the approval and support of my church. But most importantly I wanted to know that God approved and was the main person giving me the green light to go.There is so much more to missions than just going. I want to make sure my heart is always in the right place and that I am accountable for the mission tasked to me. I want to be sure that all of the credit and glory go to God. So my prayer team is my backbone in being my accountability buddies. Many of thanks to you who agreed to keep me together lol.
P.S. So when I was coming up with blog names it was suggested I use "Time to minion Jesus". the minion is taking the place of mimic.I love minions soooo much its going to take a whole other post to even describe how deep it runs(lets just say I am the person that will show up to the minion movie opening at midnight, decked out in minion clothing shoes etc ,first one in line with the perfect middle seat, and laugh harder and louder then any kid you know!!!!) Moving on I want everyone to know it is my trademark saying now . SSSOOOOOOOOO.........
Thank you for reading, God bless and "Time to minion Jesus."
